In partnership with the Cathedral City Senior Center, S.C.R.A.P. Gallery is pleased to announce our online SMART Academy for seniors. The SMART (Senior Makers + Art) Academy will offer monthly hands-on art opportunities mixed with a bit of recycling, conversations and classes. S.C.R.A.P. Gallery will provide materials for reuse and repurposing for projects as well.
Talk To The Hand – An art project that lets your hands do the talking. Trace your hand and illustrate your feelings, ideas and favorite things or create a 3-D hand reusing materials around the house, markers, plastic rings and other things. Share your finished work online.

Found Object Frida – In honor of the iconic Mexican artist Frida Kahlo’s birthday on July 6, 1907. We challenge you to create a sculpture with found objects. Start by visiting the Faces of Frida virtual and interactive exhibition https://artsandculture.google.com/project/frida-kahlo to get a sense of her life and art.
Coloring Club – We will post a variety of coloring pages that are fun, challenging and unique. Coloring inside or outside the lines, that’s up to you!
