Join us for free well-being workshops to help nurture and reclaim your wellness and mental health. We work to recognize which areas of well-being require further assistance, and know that recovery time is subjective and know that together, we can improve our well-being. 

Bereavement Support Group

Presented bilingually by Serenity Hospice

Every Thursday, 2:00 PM, pre-registration preferred (call 760-321-1548)

The Bereavement Support Group offers a safe and compassionate space for individuals coping with the loss of a loved one. Participants can share experiences, receive emotional support, and learn healthy coping strategies in a group setting guided by trained facilitators.

Senior Assistance

Senior Advocates of the Desert is the Coachella Valley’s only nonprofit dedicated exclusively to helping low-income seniors access the benefits they deserve but often can’t reach on their own. They specialize in Medi-Cal, Medicare, SSI, IHSS, Veteran Benefits, SSDI, and Social Security Retirement. Senior Advocates also assist with emergency financial aid, transportation, utility discounts, subsidized housing, garnishment issues, and more.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Second Tuesday of the month, 9am-12:30pm, appointment required (call 760-321-1548)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can help you: manage stress and anxiety, cope with grief or loss, build healthy thinking habits, and feel more in control of your emotions. This service is free for all seniors.

Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy

Presented bilingually by HICAP

Fourth Wednesday of the month, 9am-12pm, appointment required (call 760-321-1548)

HICAP provides free and objective information and counseling about Medicare. Volunteer counselors can help you understand your specific rights and health care options.

Device Assistance

Presented bilingually by Serenity Hospice

Every Friday, 2pm-3:30pm, appointment required (call 760-321-1548)

Device Assistance can help you with common issues for seniors for smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Please join us if you need help with tasks such as: editing or adding contacts, texting assistance, email setup & access, using voice assistants, using Zoom or Facetime, taking, editing, and sending photos/videos, playing music & watching videos, accessing App/Google Play store, using apps for transportation or food delivery, and much more!

Rx Medication Review

Fourth Wednesday of the month, 11am-1pm.

David & Pedro from Bilhartz Desert Insurance Agency are here to provide one-on-one guidance in 40-minute appointments to review your medications and answer any questions or concerns you may have. They are here to support you and help you understand your Medicare options with care and clarity.
