Quarantine Cooking with Carolyn – Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry

Beef and Broccoli Stir fry
¼ cup low sodium Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon Cornstarch
1 tablespoon Hoisin Sauce
1 (12 ounce) boneless Sirloin Steak, sliced into strips
2 teaspoons Canola Oil
2 cups Broccoli florets
1 cup sliced Red Onion
1 cup chopped Carrots
½ cup Water
2 teaspoons dark Sesame Oil
1/3 cup sliced Green Onions
Combine Soy Sauce, Cornstarch, and Hoisin Sauce in medium bowl. Add beef; toss to coat.
Heat a large skillet over HIGH heat.
Add canola oil to a pan, swirl to coat. Add beef to pan, reserving marinade in bowl.
Cook beef for two minutes or until browned, stirring occasionally.
Remove beef from pan.
Add broccoli, onions, carrots, water, and sesame oil into the pan. Cook for 4 minutes or until broccoli is crisp-tender, stirring occasionally.
Add marinade to pan, bring to a boil. Cook for one minute.
Return beef to pan, cook one minute or until thoroughly heated.
Sprinkle green onions.
Serve over rice or noodles.
