Cathedral City Senior Center Welcomes Nick Rossi as Chief Development Officer

By CEO Geoff Corbin and COO Vic Ide

Nick Rossi wasn’t just looking for his next job. He wanted to be here.

After attending our gala, Nick saw something he wanted to help build: a center with heart, ambition, and a willingness to challenge what a senior center can be. He connected with our cause, our leadership, and our way of doing things. Now he’s our Chief Development Officer—and we’re thrilled.

Nick moves fast, thinks creatively, and cares deeply. Nick earned his MBA in Finance from Florida Atlantic University. At Variety Children’s Charity of the Desert, he helped fuel significant growth through strong donor relationships, first-rate events, and a community reputation built on trust. He has a practical understanding of how technology advances nonprofits, in fact, the fundraising software he created is being used across the Valley. He understands both the responsibility of stewarding someone’s generosity and the possibilities it opens up. His commitment to service is personal, rooted in the scholarship foundation he created to honor his late brother.

He brings experience that fits where we are—and ambition that fits where we’re going.

Over seven years, this Center has grown dramatically. But getting bigger was never the whole idea. We’re building the Mid-Valley’s living room because we believe people deserve food, care, connection, and dignity regardless of their income, language, or circumstances. That takes resources. It also takes people who aren’t satisfied with leaving things as they are.

Nick is one of those people.

The chemistry among the three of us is already unmistakable: ideas come easily, our strengths complement one another, and we share an eagerness to get meaningful things done. We believe this can be a defining chapter in Nick’s career and our Center’s future.

And he’s falling in love with our people, just as we’re falling in love with him.

Please get to know Nick. You’ll be glad you did.
